Reunion Update

Dear Family,

It is hard to believe our 15^thFusia/Fusca Family reunion is less than a year away. Where has the time gone!

it is official, the 2009 Reunion will be hosted at The Westin
Providence in Providence Rhode Island and I am very happy to say the
room rates for this upscale hotel, with the "Heavenly bed"
are very good.

Rooms
are $119 per night, $25 per additional person over 18; suites are
available. There is a 13% occupancy tax and parking is $23 per night.

These
are GREAT rates for a very good hotel. New England is a great place
for a summer vacation. Providence is Newport (a boat ride over the
pond); since 1997 Providence boasts of one of the finest water parks
and lets not forget Federal Hill the Italian section of Providence,
great food, good shopping, something for all ages.}

If an ocean vacation is more your liking, there is the Rhode Island shoreline, the Connecticut shoreline, and of course not far is old Cape Code. And great golf. Think about making the Fusia/Fusca Family reunion the center of your family vacation for 2009.

In arranging your travel plans The Westin Providence could not be more convenient or accessible. Located at the crossroads of Interstates 195 East and West and 95 North and South.

Less than fifteen minutes away, T.F. Green Airport was named the third best airport in the country and the eleventh best in the world by the Conde Nast Travelers Annual Reader's Choice Awards. It is serviced by major airlines, including award winning Southwest Airlines. The Amtrak station is within walking distance with Acela service to Boston, New York and Washington, DC.

Also as an added benefit this year you can make your reservations online and we can check to be sure other family members have registered.

Thank
you, Haydn, Pooch and Sue for sending in your checks and thank you to
all that have responded to our survey. We are very excited to be
planning the 2009 Reunion and excited to see everyone. We hope this
year to have the tree full with family members and all branches
represented. Providence will be a great place to spend the 4th of July
and getting reacquainted and having all the children meet and begin to
create memories is what we are hoping to create!}

The banquet dinner is planned for the 4th (Saturday night). We will not know until next year what events are being planned in Providence and on the river. We will plan around and with the events in Providence.

Another request, we are always looking for photos from past reunions and family events. We can scan and return or if you store your photos electronically, could you send some to us?

So make you plans, checks are always appreciated and we will be in touch. Also any food allergies please let us know. We are still in the planning stages so now is the time for input.
